Conceived by the Lands of Savoy and the association “Cantoregi Project“, “Libraries in Feast – The future is read here” has since its inception pursued a specific content dualism characterized in particular:

  • by acultural soul aimed at promoting reading through meetings and literary presentations spread throughout the territory and open to the public, with authors of local, national and international relevance;
  • by astrategic core designed both to increase collaboration between libraries and territorial library systems by systematizing individual experiences and simultaneously promoting in a single calendar the cultural offerings promoted by each, and to foster network building among municipal libraries, administrators and operators through special listening and discussion seminars, which are essential for sketching out the future of library services.

The experience, the confrontation, the critical issues but also the results obtained have enabled the partnership to adapt the project year by year so that it can be considered a dynamic event that is not tied to predetermined processes or imitation of other events in the same cultural sphere, but, on the contrary, is understood as a unique and useful event for the entire territory.

Finally, in 2025, the project definitively leaves the dimension of a simple event to become
a structural and transformative cultural device. A bet that looks to the future, starting with young people, and does so without losing sight of the profound value of the book as a space of freedom and community.
